DEBS 2008
2nd International Conference on Distributed Event-Based Systems
Call for Fast Abstract
Fast Abstracts at DEBS 2008 are short presentations, either on new ideas or work in progress, or radical opinions that can address any issue relevant to Event-based Infrastructures and Complex event processing. Fast Abstracts provide an opportunity to receive early feedback from the community. Contributions are particularly solicited from industrial practitioners and academics that may not have been able to prepare full papers, but seek an opportunity to engage with the DEBS community.
Submission guidelines
Fast Abstracts should be at most two pages in length, must be formatted using standard two-column ACM format, and must be submitted by the deadline of May 17th, 2008 - 23:59 (CET).
The fast abstract has to be submitted to the following address: debs08@dis.uniroma1.it
Selection and Notification
Submissions will be refereed on the relevance to DEBS 2008, but also on their capacity to stimulate and intrigue the reader. Accepted contributions will be published in electronic form, and an author will deliver a short talk in the Fast Abstracts track at the conference. Decisions will be notified by May 20th, 2008. Authors of accepted fast abstracts must provide the camera ready version by May 31st, 2008. At least one author of each accepted paper is expected to register to the conference before June 6th, 2008.
